Hillsong - Rhythms of Grace (Drum Tutorial for Bridge)

Tutorial detailing the bridge of "Rhythms of Grace" geared towards beginner to intermediate level drummers. Advanced drummers can skip to 3:15 to see demonstration.

Also, note that you can play rim clicks on the high tom rather than the snare if you prefer. My electric kit only has dual trigger on the snare so I was limited to that (and even then sometimes it mistriggers, as you can see). I'm using my electric kit in this video because I live in an apartment and can't play on my acoustic set.

Sorry, my timing wasn't that great on this one but hopefully you get the idea. In efforts to fit in the frame, I was also sitting in an awkward position leaning on my arms..that's why my posture looks weird in the beginning, lol

bro. i am a worship leader/drummer myself. i was very impressed with your video tutorial. it was quite professional and descriptive. and i give you props for that. as for constructive criticism.. all i would say is to concentrate on making sure each note you play is precisely in time between each other, some hits sounded closer together than others. otherwise you have a high potential and im glad to actually see a decent drummer for a change. if you have any questions i would love to help more

It is great to break down and study what the hillsong drummers have created for the songs but like you said being in a worship is about unity and playing the song with everyone else and where the spirit is leading. Making the song you own personal worship experience.

thank you so much! i want to become apt in the drums so our resident church drummer can worship lead and/or play guitar sometimes hahahaa he's so talented, but because there aren't any other drummers, he's always stuck on that :'( and since i used to learn drums, eh, why not put what i know to use and learn some more drum skills!
