Skiing up to the Colorado Mountain Club's Brainard Lake Cabin, Roosevelt National Forest, Colorado

The Boulder group, of the Colorado Mountain Club, maintains this wonderful little cabin adjacent Brainard Lake. The cabin (and lake!) is located in the Roosevelt National Forest in Boulder County west of the town of Ward off of Colorado Highway 72. Brainard is south of Rocky Mountain National Park and adjacent to the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. At the time of this video the outside temperature, at around noon, was approximately 15 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 9 Celsius) with the trees protecting us from most of the wind. The cabin is only available through reservations so give the Colorado Mountain Club a call if you're interested!
