  • I'm here because I watched a "mermaid tryout" video and the music got me much more than the mermaid did. Thanks for posting this brilliant track... and for taking me back to my beloved Fife.

  • @mrpipshit1 Me too!!

  • I luv this guitar melody! Really puts my mind at ease!

  • @garywilesmusic...hahahaha...yeah, I watched it again, too. You're probably right. But still, with the church and graveyard right there it really IS kinda eerie.

  • @imacceptingbut It caught me off guard too at first, I see what you're talking about. But I watched it a few times, it's just a shadow. It looks like theres color, but it's just a trick of the light. Still weird though.

  • @siobhanmacdermott Thanks for your very insightful input. This song is profound and eloquent---I really enjoy it's message.

  • Let me add a little more to that - the Seamus they're referencing is James I, who in his own right was king of Scotland, and then inherited England's throne after Elizabeth I died without an heir. His reign was at best lackluster.

  • @Jamal Without going into major detail as to what exactly went on, the gist of the song is that "the wisest fool" should have stayed put and not tried to reach for more. The monarchs they reference all tried to claim another crown to add to the one they already had, and disaster ensued.

  • Can someone tell me what this song is truly about? Obviously it's about the royalty of England and Scotland and some conflicts that arose between them.
