  • Very well done and a beautiful sound.

I have some questions. What strings are you using?

How high are they off the fingerboard in the upper octave?

Could you do a recording of your own solo on the tune?

    Thanks

  • @GAK1atatt those strings are Corelli tungsten mediums. The approximate string height is about 5 millimeters on the g string measured at the end of the fingerboard, but I haven't measured in a while - I typically just adjust to how the action feels these days. I have several videos with improvised solos - cherokee, a Jobim tune called Gabriella, and a Bert Ligon tune called Beach Bound. It's likely that I'll post a video performing Donna Lee at some point since I tend to play that tune a lot.

  • I need to get transcribe so bad thats what you are using right I kinda recognize the screen

  • @bassguy87564 yes I was running transcribe on my computer

  • I have a new goal in life!

  • Very nice playing. Sets a high bar for arco playing in a jazz context.
