thats a beauti buck. not to big but he's a beaut.

i havent went deer hunting in years, bow or gun.

but my bigest buck i ever shot was 7pointer but he was a fatty. he brok off one tip otherwise he woulda been an 8.

Thanks man. All deer or game animal for that matter is a trophy. I hunt because I love to hunt. Be it a buck or a doe.

We are deer hunters first and formost. I think the deer hunting community has become to hung up in this trophy buck syndrome that the have forgotten what deer hunting is. If a good buck comes m way and I managed to take him, that is a bonus in my book. I just like to hunt deer.

That deer was probably 1 year old. Why in the world would you take him? Regardless of how late in the season it is, you need to let young deer pass.

I have a problem with people like you. You see, I feel that "deer hunting" has turned into "trophy hunting". Not every hunter has to kill a "monster buck". Alot of hunters just enjoy the sport of the hunt. If the deer I choose to shoot has a big rack, then that's good for me, but if it's a 2 year old seven point that takes my arrow, I'm very happy with it. If you want to let deer pass, then that's your choice. You shouldn't belittle fellow hunters, as we have more problems with the anti's.

@jwl226 My lord buddy, out here in the country we shoot a deer and enjoy it, that rack dont make him taste any better. i bet ur family dont enjoy that big 12 pt as much as they would a few small deer to eat on all winter.

If your a meat hunter then take a doe. Its people like you that never kill big bucks because you never have the chance to, you get too trigger happy on small bucks and ruin your chances. Management is the key, and shooting a year and half old deer is not "management" as per your quote about management. Good luck killing your 50 class deer. Whack em and stack em big guy.
