actually my comment was just a joke about parents taking their kids' candy.

There are no historical cases of strangers poisoning candy. The few cases where trick or treaters have been poisoned, the perpetrator was a family member, not a stranger.

I feel so bad for Generation Alpha. At this rate, they'll only be able to wear white clothes with safety vests, and walk outside for 20 minutes before it gets dark. They'll go home with Kashi bars and raisin boxes, and then their parents will have to say that it's more fun to pretend you had a good time than it is to actually enjoy the holiday.
