What do you know? do you think i'm stupid enough, to post a video with a diesel and try to tell everyone, that it is a 325 petrol engine???

No turbo charger man, it actually sounds closer to a supercharged engine but no, it's a normally aspirated six. The X in Xi is for all wheel drive! Cross! The original bmw sound has really died down for me over the years...

@Stig140 They did not offer diesel cars in the US when i wrote that comment. You're right today they offer the 335d and X5 35d. Here in Europe there are several diesel engines in all models, except the Z4.

I have an xi and the x means it is an all wheel drive.

In the US BMW does not offer diesel engines.
BTW every modern diesel engine has (at least one) turbo charger.

Whats not legal where? the 911turbo is legal in the states... and thats where your profile says you're from.

actually the engines are quite different here. We have strict smog standards, and we can't have alot of stuff you guys have over here. like the porsche 911 turbo, not legal, won't pass smog (emissions) or the nissan skyline (excluding this years model)

there is no compressor in that car!! it has an atmospheric engine! It is just the way it is...

Once the engine is fully warmed up it won't do the engine any harm. If the engine is cold or warming up, then it is VERY unwise.
