the mics in their hairline is better because when you have so many costume changes you can't be worrying about the mic as well.

It's his mic, just finsihed a show myself and had a similar Mic, hope to audiotn for the same part as well in 2 weeks

Fair enough. I would've loved to have been in the audience, but I heard the tickets were really expensive.

@HindsightPOV Hmm they are so much more noticeable on video - from an auditorium, beyond the 5th row you can't see them, and even then you forget they are there :)

Interesting point. I just find the mikes coming out of the actors' hair very awkward looking and distracting.

@HindsightPOV Yes but mikes on the foreheads/sides of face give much better individual sound - with so many people and speakers on stage, the closer the mic to the source of sound the better.

It wouldn't have been so bad to put mikes on their outfits. The audience wouldn't have cared.
