  • Wonderful!!!....But, NOT as awesome as your flash was. Sure would be great to have you hit a few more malls around the Horseshoe!:)

  • @BarbieOkie

Barb, you really hit the nail on the HEAD!

Hats off to all that had anything at all to do with the original production; it was...SO spectacular & special because they had the COURAGE to sing your hearts out and JUST ...DID!

And special thanks to Stephanie who opened so VERY well and challenged then all to do the same!

    WOW, you did it!

You have now blessed the heats of millions!

God bless you all and thanks for daring to sing so very well "out side the box!"

  • To the "well-poisoners" here, this was staged intentionally for all to benefit. The flash mob version was unique and difficult to replicate, so why even try? Such beautiful, strong voices for a community chorus. Bravo to everyone for participating - audience, TV crew and singers. And for you 'tempo' critics, check out Andre Rieu's version at Radio City Music Hall on YT.

  • I LOVE you guys. I must watch your flash mob video six, seven, eight times a week. It is wonderful to see all the faces in a different framework. I only wish we could also see all the families and mall spectators who were so shocked and happy at your performance in November. Hooray for you guys!

  • charming, charming, charming! Can't beat the joy excitement of the original, but this puts to rest any of those comments that doubted the veracity of the food court version. (tempo is waaay fast on this, but the tv producers may have been pressed for time? )

  • I have to strongly disagree with Archer 720, The tempo is perfect and so much alive! I have performed the Chorus many times at this speed. We have had nothing but positive comments on it. Check our "Arcardy" under the direction of Ronald Beckett and you'll see how a true rendition of it should be performed. Thank you to Chorus Niagara for having the courage to take the Hallelujah Chorus at a perfect tempo. Alive and exciting and praising God with JOY!

  • @Archer720

Organists do not set the tempo. Directors do.

  • @Archer720 they had to finish cuz the tv show Canada Am was ending it had nothing to do with the organ player. Canada Am ends at 9 and we were the whole show from 6 to 9.

  • i see the second singer, got a bit of a haircut...lol

  • The best one is the first one as it was more spontaneous, there wasn't an organ competing with the singers, and the acoustics were perfect with the singers spread out. The vocal range of the singers was so unbelievable in that first flash mob! Anyone who has more than a tin ear can tell this was just another chorus and it didn't resonate with emotion or feeling. They are better than just good but turn them lose and let them do what they do best. SING!
