LAS VEGAS, NV , USA -- During the Grand Opening festivities for the new Margaritaville Casino at Flamingo in Las Vegas, a two-story, 8,500 gallon margarita -- "Lucky Rita" has got its final pour - setting the new world record for the Largest margarita, according to World Records Academy (www.worldrecordsacademy.org).
The previous Guinness world record for the largest cocktail was a margarita with a volume of 28,871 litres (6,350 gal, 7,627 US gal) achieved by Ricardo's Mexican Restaurant and Rosangel Tequila (both USA) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
