This is typical 6am behavior. In addition they eat non stop. Timothy Hay, Pelletized Guinea Pig Food, and a variety of Fresh Vegetables. In addition they require a certain type of bedding that needs to be changed a few times a week. These two little rodents cost more to take care of than all 5 of the other animals in the house combined. They cost us about $40 a month. Don't get me wrong they are sweet and cute, but they are expensive high maintenance pets.

  • they are chewing the bars because they are frustrated and WANT TO GET OUT! Get them a bigger cage and you will both be happier

  • @Cavylover92 You couldn't be more wrong. They make this sound when they are hungry. They get to come out and run around the kitchen frequently, but they only do this when there is no fresh vegetables. They are essentially begging. These are the most expensive pets I have ever owned, so I am not buying or building them anything. They are going on 6yo so hopefully they aren't long for this world.
