Jim Croce Alabama Rain cover

Another gem that got lost for awhile...Jim Croce wrote ALOT of great songs. I was a pre-teen when this was released. I had to sing it in a higher octave cuz Jim had such a nice smooth baritone voice. Over the years it got to where I couldn't sing along with the cd, the highs were gone and I couldn't sing it low, so it frustrated me...ya know? Well it seems my voice continues to change as I grow older and I think I can actually pull off the baritone now..whaddayathink? Headphones on this post really brings out the guitar part, it's a little soft. I've had a few requests for the chords to this one so I thought I'd post it since I've been promising more Croce songs for too long now. Hope you enjoy it.
Pieces of what Maury played can be added for more texture as a solo performance, but my intention was to stay true to the original part Jim played on this one.

Outstanding cover of this lovely song, I wish Jim could have stuck around a lot longer than he did, but man he left us a bunch of great music.  I wore out his albums and tapes and he definitely was one of my influences. Great cover of this song Brian. Mark
