this was proper football - all along the ground - was just thinking old big head would have had a smile on his face that day as forest were brilliant. If crosby had of scored that goal in first half almost certainly a goal of the season contender. Amazing how this trio of games v liverpool produced 3 of the best games of that season
Great to watch without commentary! Have not seen this since the day of the game, when I was 15, standing in the Trent End. Very nostalgic and think I can remember a few incidents- maybe that's wishful thinking! Happy days and so many fun memories.Great post!! An era of amazing scoring for Forest- forget the season but remember 6-0 at home to Villa then next week 6-2 away to Chelsea! ?
I remember this game. I remember it for Gary Crosby, wasnt it his debut? I remember being at school and mastering the step over. I was one of about 2 players at school who could o it, even the "better" players couldnt. Then i see Gary do the step overs and i'm thinking "so it aint just me"...i thought Gary would go and play for England, but he never did. He wasnt consistent and didnt live up to his potential.
It´worth remembering that Liverpool only lost two league matches all season, one being this.

Thanks for that! I remember the chant of 'What's it like to be outclassed?' ringing out. I think that was Gary Crosby's debut - what a game he had!
