I thought mine was loud! O_O I dunno how you could put up with that noise...
BTW, my Wii is always making a whirring or clicking noise, although it usually only clicks when loading something. I have to turn the volume up on Smash Bros, just so half of it doesn't get drowned out by the whizzing. D:<
Is the Wii the noisiest home console or something? None of my others make nearly as much noise...

Clicking...I think that's the laser thing moving around...my brand new Wii did the same, both of them. I often hear beeping sounds as well. There is a very light whirr sound, which would be the motor spinning the disc...sounds normal to me anyway.
Actually, I think the Wii is probably one of the quietest systems I've had, along with my Cube and Playstation (original).

Wow, yours sounds like a chainsaw or something lol.
Anyway mine does the same thing but not as loud as that video made it seem. I would suggest calling Nintendo and see what they can do. And let us know what they can do!

Mine actually had the warranty through Best Buy - an even exchange. Fortunately when my wii went out was when Smash came out...and a nice supply of Wii consoles. I did have to back up my game saves though onto SD card. My wii's now as quiet as...something quiet? Anyway, my wii's all good now.
