@02tnewton RCA is a very low voltage low amperage, audio video cable. No way itll ever make your stereo go up in smoke, unless you that the other end connected to a car battery?

I've never thought about doing this until I saw this video. I have a couple of head units that were quality pieces back in their day, just lying around. Pulled out my spare power supply and viola. After over 14 years, my old Alpine still sparkles... as well as my newer Clarion. Thanks for the great idea man!

Ya know, maybe I'll find some old computer power supplies, and make homemade boomboxes with them. Maybe I could use the shell of an old computer as a car radio and speaker housing.

i have a home surround sound system that has an rca connection from my tv, i pluged the radio into it and it had no problems

hi, i followed this instructions and everything is nice. But when i turn the radio to aux mode in order to use the speakers through, the sound cames very low and with static.
Can you help me? thks!

@arpag aux mode is and input for like an ipod or mp3 player, not an output for speakers
