@pardeepbhachu Ihave readthat eye-opening article, and I believe it's true.Keep in mind thatdoes not meanthat othermanufacturersdon't do the same on different levels to their presscars.I speak fromexperience having driven a regular (not a 'press-ringer' 458 Italia and a LP-570 close to their limits (MP4's direct competitors).Like I said on my responseto 'Skidracer21', I'd love to drive a MP4-12C and draw my own conclusions instead of being a Jalopnik/YouTube/Auto Magazine expert.

@1stGoRide I think you need to read Chris Harris article 'How Ferrari spins' and find out what Ferrari do to their Press car when lending them out. Chris Harris spoke out against Ferrari and they BANNED him from driving the cars they lend press. Ferrari also won't let a article to be printed without approving of it first. The day that article went up, the pistonheads website ended up with 40 F458 in its for sale section.

@Skidracer21 30 MPG? Not if you drive like it was meant to be driven. Fuel economy is not a major concern for the buyers of those cars anyway.

The fire incidents on the 458s were completely erradicated after the recall.

I have driven a 458 and she was absolutely perfect in race mode. Much better than the Gallardo LP-570 or even the LP-640. I wouldn't pass on the opportunity to drive the MP4-12C and form an educated opinion with experience behind the wheel, though.

Try again McLaren, the 458 still has you beat. The F1 on the other hand, now that was a world beater. Hopefully their new generation halo car will be better.
