If you want to hurt Microsoft, you don't throw eggs or make vocal protests. Its ineffective.
You code up solutions better than theirs. Then release it under GPL (an open source license Steve Ballmer seriously dislikes...He once referred to as "cancer").
The plan is simple: De-value their solutions with free and flexible alternatives.
