Broken Love- Chap. 16 PART ONE

This chapter is for my bestie friend, Jana. She was feeling down, & this story always makes her happy :D (well, normally. (x ) AND look at this! Another two part chapter! Comments for this? Pwease? (: Anyways, here you go!

Sydney's POV

I was laying on my bed, the last of my tears falling down onto my pillow. Did Joe not like me anymore? The day after we had sex?! Did he use me? Find somone better? Wasn't I good enough for him?! All these questions haunted my mind as more tears came pouring out. The sound of my door slamming open and closed made me snap out of my little world of questions.

"What do you want?" I asked coldly. He was the last person I wanted to talk to right now.

"Syd, I'm, I'm sorry! I just...I don't know why my body reacted the way it did. Honestly, I think it was from us having...well, sex. I just, I wasn't sure if I was ready to do it again, and-"

"Joe."

" I thought maybe, well I didn't really think but my mind did, and I just didn't want to make any mistakes with you Syd. You'll be back in college soon, and-"

"Joseph!"

" I don't want anything messing us up or messing up the rest of your-"

"JOE!" He looked up at me, his eyes filled with confusion, and sadness.

"Sweetie, your rambling." I said, walking up to him and putting my arms around his neck. "But thats okay, I think its cute." I whispered into his ear.

"You're-you're not mad?" I sighed, resting my head against his chest.

"Well, I was. But what you just came in and did definately made up for it." Even though I wasn't looking at him I could tell he was smiling. He brang his lips to my forehead, softly kissing it.

"Good, cause I couldn't imagine loosing you again." he whispered into my ear, sending chills down my back. I grabbed his left hand and intertwined it with my own. I suddenly felt him tense up.

"Whats the matter ba-" I stopped mid-sentence when I saw his wrist. He had three cuts, that were obviously done intentionally.

"Joey?" I said, feeling the tears begin to well up. "Why?" I whispered softly, letting a few slide. He wiped them away with his thumb, letting out a soft sigh. He brang us over to my bed, sitting us both down.

"Let me start from the beginning." I nodded, encouraging him to go on. "You see, my little issue you here," he held up his wrist to show the cuts, I wish he hadn't. It hurt to know my baby was cutting himself, hurting himself, possibly because of me. "Well it started some years ago, when I was much younger, so thats why my body thought to do that. I had done good, stopped doing it for so long. But that night we had sex I just, I was scared. Scared because I didn't us protection, scared for our relationship. I, I don't know why I went straight back to cutting, but I did. And that where I got these from." When he finally finished, tears were streaming down my face rapidly.

"You-you hurt yourself because of me-me." I stated. He quickly wrapped his arms around me as I cried into his chest.

"Shh, no. It wasn't because of you Syd, not at all. I love you. I was mad at myself."

"But if we didn't-"

"No, it wasn't the sex. If I would've used protection every thing would be fine, I wouldn't have worried. Stop blaming yourself for something you couldn't control." he said softly, rubbing small, invisible circles on my lower back.

"Just promise me you'll never do it again?" I said, the last of my tears finally coming out.

"Promise." he said, wiping away the last tear.

"Now that your little secrets out...can we go back to swimming normally and be happy?" He smiled at me and nodded. I smiled back, and we made our way back out to the pool.

Bonnie's POV

Kevin and I were currently in the middle of having a splash fight. He was obviously winning.

"I win!" he cheered.

"No fair! Your stronger." I said, pretending to be sad. He chuckled lightly and showed off his muscles.
