Happy Face is a world music piece by Gitti Khosravi, famous Iranian opera singer accompanied by her friends.

Gitti Khosravi, a recognized musician and outstanding opera singer, was born in an artistic family in Iran and in her early childhood, she started learning music and musical instruments from some famous music instructors and composers of her time in Iran such as: Golnoush Khaleghi, Carmen Ossorio, Pourtorab brothers and also Evelin Baghcheban, Afsaneh Khodabandehloo and Pari Samar.

During different careers, she studied music in University of Tehran (Department of Fine Arts), Ministry of Education, Iran Broadcasting System and Tehran Opera Center and also she performed a couple of shows in embassies and educational centers, which all were organized by the late Dr. Saadi Hassani.

Under the guidance and encouragement of her teachers and friends, especially Dr. Saadi Hassani, she moved to Germany and studied 'vocal music and theater' in Hamburg conservatory for six years and got her first master degree. Her second master degree was in training of vocal music and she was able to finish the course with a high degree in 2002.

Her instructors overseas were Jeanette Scovotti, Hanna Schwartz, Harald Stamm, K.P. Samson.

She had a successful performance in different congresses and championships such as Europe Jump -- the entrance to new millennium -- called as 'woman millennium' that was held in 'Hambacher Schloss', and at present her performance is available in the form of video and book opera made by German government and She has performed in Germany and Switzerland many times, such as Christoph Willibald Gluck opera.

Dr. Gerd Gropp, archeologist and professor in Hamburg University, revived and re-composed the unearthed music belonging to 1600 years ago and it was performed by Gitti Khosravi. They could bring this theme on the stage in 2000 and dedicated it to Iran on the occasion of Persian New Year (Norouz).

She has had a fruitful presence in a number of festivals in Germany in 2000 and in other countries. She had a close cooperation with Cord Garben, a famous composer and pianist and the chairman of Johannes Brahms association. She is proud of being the first person who performed Johannes Brahms plays after his demise. In fact for the first time Brahm's piano was repaired in cooperation with Garben in may 2002. This program was and will be held annually as the commendation of Brahms and his house.

She was one of the participants in 'Le cinesinen' opera composed by Gluck and held internationally for the first time. She continued her education as a final goal while there were some critics about her in Germany and Switzerland and a lot of offers as an actress.




She finished the 6-year period of master degree with a high degree while cooperating with some famous conductors such as J.Solti and H.Cord and even teaching in 'Hochschule für Musik and Theater'.

She has put the name of Iran on the first rank in different competitions and performances such as: Laura Sarti, Pr. Raminta Lampsatis and so on.

She has been a solo singer in different international gatherings and congresses, she also had a performance with Dr. Christina Weiss the former minister of art and culture in Hamburg that is among her masterpieces. She is also teacher of mix theater in Hanover, membership of 'il canto del mundo' association of which the manager is Karl Adamek.

So far, Gitti Khosravi has performed, composed and played different performances and brought a lot of plays on the stage internationally, and she has tried to point to the woman roles in society, in all of her performances she has tried to promote the women's social status, and for example in the global friendship program, in 2003, she had a performance called 'East and West Meeting' in a cooperation with Malihe Saeedi and Pr. Elisabeth Bengtson Opitz. She and her sister, Shahla Khosravi, had a musical performance that was directed by Ramin Yazdani and at the same year, in 2005, she had cooperation with Silvin Robestein, she acted as a soloist-alto in the ninth symphony of Beethoven that was directed by Ali (Alexander) Rahbari in Tehran symphonic orchestra and was applauded by Iranians and foreign audiences. In 2007, she performed a solo-song in Delphi theater called as 'Melodien aus dem Morgenland' that in final stage along with a Chinese pianist, L-en-liu, went on the stage. The lyrics of Omar Khayyam, Hafiz and Saadi were sung by her with German actor Demir Goekoel and after the break, She continued her performance. She had a performance in Central Congress in Hamburg in the same year.

Right now, Gitti Khosravi is involved in composing and compiling new method of teaching and training in music and beside that, she is giving different concerts to introduce Persian culture to the world.
