This was a band that should have made it. They had a great guitarist, a decent bassist, a decent drummer, and a pretty decent three-cord song writer in Perrett. But they imploded way way way before their time. I saw them on Jools Hollands Show last year. Loved them to bits, brought back some good memories, too.

Indeed. They toured with the Who on their first world tour with Kenny Jones. They were seen by a ton of people. And when I saw them, they tore the house down.

@keyehaw - I can imagine they did bring the house down.They were damned good and happened at the right time of the british 'New Wave' explosion.Sadly, I never got to see them before they split in early 1981 after Perrett knocked someone down whilst under the influence in San Francisco in 1980. It was an amazing line up with a varied musical past: Mike and Alan,had a hippie band past, then they had a brilliant guitarist in John Perry who,really shows you what he really can do, especially live.

- and that, grouped with Peter Perrett, made quite a formidable force.... Brilliant!

That excuse for a band Blink 182 is a disgrace compared to the Only Ones
