Hey i see that you can help me, my question is, can i use a 8-17 lbs test rod to catch salmon?
-
@SuperCanuck101 Of course you can and it works great allowing you farther casts with light set-ups, a faster gear ration than a center-pin and versatility of casting artificials as well as drifting...God bless you, Italo

Hey italo, just wondering can you use a raven float rod or such a centrepin rod and pair it up with a spinning reel?

Hey Guys,
If you really are worried about losing steelheads because of your guides freezing up, just buy some Vaseline and rub just a little bit on your guides and I promise you, you will never have that problem again!

@Isowannabeafiretruck Thanks for the excellent tip. I will definitely try it when I know I will be fishing in sub-zero temperatures....God bless you, Italo

@6Canucks That is a Rapala Rap series spinning reel. If you want to see the variety of reels Rapala makes just go to the rapala.ca site....God bless you, Italo

Hey Italo, another question, do you have to use split shot lines of fluorocarbon or mono if your using colored monofilament line as your main line?

@SuperCanuck101 If the water is clear I would definitely go with a fluorocarbon leader...God bless you, Italo
