People are hatin' on Jimmy because he couldn't quite fix the economy or solve the Iran hostage crisis. But his accomplishments outweighed his failures, and he set a damn good example for the American people. His energy policy was for our own good, he was trying to save our asses, but people now reject him as a failed president. Go figure

How are Liberals morons ?If i remember correctly it was a Repulican who gave Immmigration Reform to more than 10 illegal immigrants , it was a Republican who sold weapons to terrorists, it was a Republican who invaded the wrong nation , it was a Republican who completely sold this country to the corporations it was a Republicans idea that cutting taxes for the rich would help our economy but you know what ? It didnt work, Republicans and Rightwing Democrats are the problem.

Watch the malaise speech too. He is in better physical shape here. Interesting what 2.5 years of presidential stress does to a guy.

What accomplishments...they do not outweigh his massive failures. He was an inexperienced man from Georgia, a farmer. He became governor and was suddenly president. A sort of similar story to Sarah Palin actually...the point is he did a lot of horrible things. The Iran crisis, the huge gasoline crisis, the economic crisis...you understate all this and overstate a stupid energy policy. Yes, he did his best. But his best wasn't enough for America at that time, and that is the truth of it.

I'm well aware of the differences but the rightwingnuts who continually spout and parrot nonsense about Obama and who want to put the 2nd amendment on the flag don't.
Kindly make your point to them.

Both did some good things, both did some bad things. The President is really just a face on the government to give us a scapegoat.

Deregulation in the 1980s helped the fledgling personal computer industry as well as the internet boom in the next decade. Clinton and Reagan both deserve credit.

The problem is with an apathetic, lazy and entitled populace. Our political parties are merely a reflection of that. They do make a good scapegoat for mindless populism, though.

Poor Carter. He should've had a second term. He was so right. The 1970s where a time when energy crisis was looming, They had the worst energy crisis in history up until the 2000s because everyone was wasteful, driving V8 muscle cars and trowing herion neddles in the streets. The 1970s was a hard time regardless of what the nostalgia would tell you. All those men coming home from Veitnam hooked on the local junk, urban decay, gas crisis.
