you can not play the BGE with RENDERED meshes, but you can play with MESHES... so what he tried to do, was take a rendered mesh, turn it into a texture, make a mesh, give the mesh a texture of the render. you can play the BGE with the grass after part 3.

Ähm yes the tutorial is ok , but too long for grass
wth do you mean wit grass in BGE = usually Blender game engin but you only rendered that grass and dont see it in BGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
