  • this is sick. i know it to find out how atachment can alter our future being, apparently, but you can see the pure terror and confusion in the monkey;s in a way it sort of like animal abuse. he other experiment on scaring the monkey was horrible and upsetting.

  • you idiot, they weren't treated well. They were isolated for a year! This experiment was just cruel. Don't try and justify it by saying 'oh the monkeys were treated like royalty'. THEY WERE NOT, they were treated like crap.

  • This absolutely broke my heart! Poor monkeys, I bet they did the experiment so many times, and to so many different baby monkeys.

This is not okay at all!

  • And this is normal life to a lot of human babies and children, raised with artificial tools instead of a mother. They get everything they want, material stuff, but is that enough to raise a emotional en social being? More and more people get lonely, depressed, sick, disfunctional.

  • @AshlieeIsHere FUCK HARLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Tabithaducky93 no, the good is that he revolutionized the way we treat abused children. Also, monkeys don't go through depression. That is a human emotion.

  • I hope this guy goes to hell

  • This made me cry :(

  • Aaaaaaw

  • Ok. The folks who want to kill humans or put human babies in closets need to calm the f**k down. Experimentation on animals has given us breakthroughs we would not have otherwise had. As a matter of fact, these emotionally irrational people threatening human life over these experiments would likely have lost a relative to an illness science found a cure for through animal research. So calm down!!! Would you rather have your family healthy and alive or a monkey??? K, thanks.

  • @JuneLeanna give me your newborn baby so i can leave it in my closet for 15 years. don't worry, it's nice and quiet (:

  • You might not like this experiment but it was influential, not just in psychology but in animal research ethics.

What is worse is the monkeys that were kept in isolaion for upto 15 years!

I haven't heard a good argument for this length of isolation yet.
