Amiga 1200 @ 030 50mhz Plays MP3!

Amiga 1200 with Blizzard Mark III 030 @ 50mhz, 6882 FPU @ 50mhz plays MP3's! This computer is from 1992! Running 3.0 roms and Workbench 3.1!

Also theres no MASPlayer, this is the standard amiga audio!

The program im using is AmigaAmp :).

This video should show off the power of the amiga... ;) Well that it can do modern tasks anyway! ;)

EDIT 09/01/2009: Sorry about the bad quality video and sound, this is just to show that MP3's on an 030 are possible, nothing more.

Bullshit my amiga 1200 with an 1230/28MHZ Turbocard and 8 MByte Ram was playing MP3 without problems in a god sound Quality,Playing mp3 was never a problem for the 030's

I managed to play MP3's on A1200 with 030 50Mhz Blizzard accelerator card. I had to set all settings to LQ for it to smoothly decode in realtime. Previously without Blizzard card I used to decode MP3's to WAV in HQ using mpdecode utility. It took around 20-30 minutes but after it was finished I could listen to WAV's (with Play16) with almost zero CPU usage.

Those were the days! :D

Prayer 2.0 on a 68030 is a faster than AmigaAMP . For me works on ACA 1230/42 but with crappy bitrate. :(

how much i HATED this interlace flickering on the amigas >_< commodore did SO much mistakes ^^ even the flickerfixer was not really able to fix the problem ... lock grainy/muddy all over the place... but: AMIGAS rock!
