Time lapse of the magnificent New York City. Filmed again with my Canon Vixia HF20 using up all 32GB of internal and another 32GB of SDHC memory. Extracted images using ffmpeg and edited in Premiere.

Soundtrack is This Winter's Almost Over by Mirrored Theory.

  • So was this recorded the entire time? Or did it take images periodically ?

  • @Nillok The original plan was to take interval shots with my Canon T1i but I abandoned that for plan B to record 1080p30 footage instead, reason being that I only had one battery for the T1i, used my adapter with the HF20. I ended up having over 2.6 Million frames that I then brought down to 4,519 images using ffmpeg to extract every 600th frame.
