@ryanplaneinsane Very cool! Thanks for the responses. Keep up the great videos and I may be ordering soon!

@ryanplaneinsane Good to know! You the owner of PlaneInsaneRC? Regardless, your videos got me originally interested in the grim reaper, I love your combat 11-6 video and fpv golf course slalom videos! They look like so much fun. Even though I am an avid scratch rc builder, I am worried about using laminate and such. Don't want to mess up the plane!

@ryanplaneinsane Wow! That sounds great! I am looking into the grim reaper specifically for FPV use, but I may hold off for this other wing you speak of! The larger battery pack would be awesome!

@ryanplaneinsane Thanks for the reply! What kind of flight time are you getting?

Great! What gear do you have on this plane, what motor, and what size battery? Sorry about all of the questions I love your videos and have been to planeinsanerc looking at the grim reaper. I have been considering getting a grim reaper for FPV and was wondering what gear you have on there, just wanted to get an idea of the weight it can carry with a certain motor. Thanks! Great videos!
Yes, I am the owner of Plane Insane RC.
Don't fear the Reaper! It's an easy build and there are tons of people in the rcgroups fourms that can help you out if you get stuck. The laminate is really easy to put on.

It could be several months before a new design is finalized. It might be worth getting a Reaper for now. There are 3 test planes out there so depending on how they all work out will determine how long it takes for a new kit to be released.

8-10 min flights. I've hear of others putting 4400mah on the reaper. Of course that kills the glide.
I'm testing a new wing by crash test hobby. It has the same or a very simular airfoil as the reaper just a much wider wing. So far I have only made one flight on the new wing but it carries 4400 mah plus a 1100 mah video pack and gopro just fine. Flight videos to come.

The plane used is a Grim Reaper. I'm using 2200mah 11.1v pack and the Blue 1400kv motor and 9x4.7 prop from Plane Insane RC.

Yup from my beat up old reaper. Time for a new one.

I'm using a gopro which did not like the low light. Each time I pointed towards the sun it got really dark.
The camera is in the case. I learned my lesson the hard way not having it in a case.
