It's Going To Be Okay - Episode 7 Part 1

*Nick walks up behind Cody, outside of the school*
Nick: (Shoves him) You bastard.
Cody: (Turns around and laughs) Whats wrong Nicky?
Nick: Whats wrong? What the hell do you think? You raped Demi, and you are going to pay for it!
Cody: (Acting confused) What are you talking about, man? I did not. She came to ME. She told me she wanted ME. She had sex with ME. And I wasnt going to say no to her. And neither did she. She was amazing though. In case you were wondering.
Joe: (Walks past Nick and throws a punch in Codys direction) LIAR!
Cody: (Dodges the punch and laughs, then tackles Joe)
Joe: (Pushes Cody off of him, then throws another punch. This time he hits him in the eye, causing him to fall. He gets on top of him and keeps punching)
Demi: (Walks up with Selena, noticing Joe on top of Cody, punching him senseless) Joe, stop! Stop it!
Joe: (He stops punching, as he realizes Cody is almost unconscious, and stands up)
Demi: (Looks down)
Selena: (Hugs her) He will never hurt you again Dem. We promise.
Demi: (Nods)

*Nick and Joe walk over to them. The four of them stand there in silence, having the whole school look at them. They wait for the ambulance to arrive, then watch as the paramedics work on him, put him on a stretcher, and then drive off to the hospital. The police question all of the students. They explain that four weeks ago, Cody had raped Demi, and now she was pregnant with his child. They explained that they beat him up, but it was all in defence of her. They tell them to stick around for a while, so see what Cody had to say. Of course Cody told the police that it was consensual, and because they didnt have any evidence, they couldnt charge him with anything. On the other hand, Cody was pressing charges against Joe for assaulting him. Joe was sentenced to 50 hours community service, considering he was still a minor, and couldnt go to jail. Cody was out of the hospital in a week, still oblivious to the fact that the girl he raped was carrying his child. Until one day, a few weeks later, he overheard Joe and Demi talking about the pregnancy*
Joe: (Smiles) You know you are going to make a great mother.
Demi: (Looks down) Thanks. I just wish that it wasnt so soon. (Places a hand on her stomach and looks at it) Theres a human being inside of me Joe. Someone that needs care and nourishment that I dont think Im ready to provide. Im scared.
Joe: (Places his hand on top of hers) I dont know of anyone who would be better at delivering that care and nourishment to something so amazing. Dem, no matter what, we will get through this, together.
Demi: (Smiles as tears build up in her eyes, she whispers) I just wish that you couldve been the father. I wish it was us who created him. (Lets out a small laugh) Or her.
Joe: (Looks her in the eyes) This is OUR baby, Demi. It may not be biological, but we will raise it together. You will be his or her mother, and I will be his or her father. No one needs to care about anything different than that. We are going to be a family Dem. Forever and Always.
Demi: Thank you so much, I love you.
Joe: I love you too, babe. (Leans down and kisses her)
Demi: (Returns the kiss, then gives him a hug)
Cody: (Hiding around the corner, speaking to himself) Shes pregnant? With my baby? There is no way either one of them is going to have my child, and keep it from me. I need to fix this. Whatever it takes.

*Later on that day*
Demi: (Alone in the hallway, she was putting her books in her locker)
Cody: (Comes up behind Demi and places a hand on her stomach, pulling her into a front to back hug) Hey there sweetie.
Demi: (Thinking its Joe, smiles and puts her hand on top of his. Once she touches it, she realizes its not Joe. She quickly turns around)
Cody: (Smiles) Did you think that I wouldnt find out?
Demi: (Takes a step back, pressing her back against the lockers, and starts shaking) Leave me alone. What more could you want from me? Get away from me! (Pushes him)
Cody: (Grabs her arms and pushes her hard against the lockers) Dont you remember what happened the last time you hit me?
Demi: (Starts thinking of that night, and starts crying)
Cody: (Gets close to her, puts his hands flat against the lockers on either side of her, with their faces are almost touching) Did you want some more, baby?
