Sue Mallick with Food City presents a fresh recipe for Black Halloween Punch at Food City's Cooking School. This episode accents a free program featured every Monday night at The Crown Point Shopping Center location on North Eastman Road in Kingsport, TN. See www.foodcity.com for complete recipe details.

Ingredients:
1 envelope unsweetened grape drink mix; 1 envelope orange drink mix; 2 cups sugar; 3 quarts cold water; 1 2-liter bottle ginger ale; 2 disposable gloves

Make a frozen hand by filling gloves with water, seal with a rubber band and freeze until hard. When ready to use, dip hand in warm water quickly, then peel off glove. Stir together grape and orange drink mixes with sugar and water. Float hands in liquid and serve.

  • I wonder I dont know if it would work or not but could one take something like the soft drink 7 up,,which is CLEAR,,and dump a bunch in a punch bowl and take some food colering and make black food colering ,,and put that into the punch bowl and stir,, wouldnt it go black,,I mean the kids wouldnt know its 7 UP soft drink,,, food colering has no taste to it ,,so it wouldnt change the taste of the beverage,,so it would really be BLACK 7UP,,would that work..

  • How much sugar was used?

  • @Karenforeva because she already had the sugar in the bowl

  • @FashionablyBombed you could use a Dark Root Beer or even Energy Root Beer like RootJack or G33k B33r!

Then again, Cola is colored dark too.
