Wow Brian, it's like we were seperated at birth! This is almost word for word what I tell my clients, not because I'm trying to get another gig, but because it's what I feel they need to know! I offer free reception co-ordinating because I know I can take control and give them what they are looking for. I can't tell you how many photographers come in and say "they want to come in and cut the cake 1st". My response is "Really? Well, I met with the Bride this week and here's what SHE wants"!

I know you live in Wisconsin, but I was wondering if you know of any great interactive DJ's in Dayton, OH.

Brian,
Again, you have done an outstanding job! I am going to include a link to this video in the FAQ portion of my website if that is ok!
Thanks,
Jayme

Advice for brides & Grooms budgeting a wedding, especially in these difficult times:
1)choose your priorities & DO NOT skimp on them
2)remember the DJ controls the flow of the party
3)your guests will remember how the food was & how the entertainment was..thats it!
4)dont forget, if your DJ &/or MC did a great job, tips are appreciated
Thats all I'll put here. If you want to ask me questions, send a pm. My wife forced me to plan our entire affordable wedding last year & it came out awesome!

There are good and bad owner/ops as well as good and bad multi ops. The best thing you can do is check references or go to showcases. We used a multi op that we discovered from watching a friends wedding video. We got the same DJ and after checking them out at a showcase, we requested & got the MC we wanted. The flow of the night was exactly how we wanted it, like a club(not traditional). The MC and DJ were great and were happy they didn't have to play the same boring wedding songs.

I too will be posting this to my blog at fhpentertainment

As a multi op I obviously don't agree with this video. Reputation and references are what couples should check - That way they can weed out bad single or multi ops.
btw I do no advertising.
Love this video Brian - I may replicate this for the English market with your permission

Good video brian....even though you were knockin me a bit as a multi op. Minimum wage? really? I pay my guys 50% of the job. Maybe that's why they do good, and are stil with me.

If you are running a quality opp, no worries. I'm willing to bet you are not the biggest add in the Yellow Pages and are not running 20 systems.

Simply put, cheap DJs are like cheap brake jobs. You get what you pay for. If you get a cheap brake job and your brakes fail and you hit a tree going at 60 MPH, it will most likely effect your life. If you get a cheap DJ, he shows up fails, plays bad music and isn't good overall, it will also effect your life. You will have to live with the fact that your wedding sucked for the rest of your life.

Bottom feeder DJs (the cheap guys) are hit or miss. Sometimes, it works out OK, other times, it dosen't. Do you want to trust Hit Or Miss on your wedding day?
