My guess is that Doug would chuckle, and probably argue about the "legend" title, as he does not really see the scope of his accomplishments on a motorcycle as legendary. Riding around the world on a 1948 Indian does not seem to be that big of a deal to him - he is prepping the Indian for yet another ride into foreign lands.

@noweirdbeard you could comfortably do London to Magadan for $8000. I know a lot of guys who just give up the regular stuff to do it. The house, the job, sell their flat screen and junk and bingo you have the cash. The bike doesn't have to be that expensive. I did it all wrong at first, expensive bike then didn't have enough cash to do the big trip. But I'm learning and it's getting easier. Things get a lot cheaper outside of Western Europe.
