  • Video refresh? If I can't watch HULU in HD I don't want it in a laptop/netbook.

  • It does support full video refresh..

  • the lens of camera is lil dirty

but o WOW the screen is bright even when outside

iff i'd try that with my laptop i would see myself xD

  • I got a new cleaner wide angle lense in Hong Kong.. So hopefully now all my HD videos will look better again.

  • I am NOT buying a netbook until this is available. It's beautiful in full sunlight. Gorgeous. 200dpi? Heartbreakingly awesome. If they really can get 20 hours of battery life, it will be revolutionary. Imagine a full-color eReader. Imagine saving the magazine industry.

  • Mary Lou Jepsen is my hero!

  • Hallo I live in Europe, and would like to know, where I can find this laptop display. Is it a prototype or I can find it on the market?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks

    Stef

  • GO GO GO Mary Lou Jepsen!! I can't WAIT to get one of your screens in my lappy :)

When I first read about these screens in my Popular Science mag, I was really impressed.

  • I have waited all my life for a monitor like this...

Are you going to make any 13-15" ones?

Other than the "outdoor" market, there is also an office worker, programmer, student market out there... Also people with certain conditions, such as epilepsy (like me), have a much easier time with the backlight turned off, so a monitor like this is god-sent...

  • @CaryMG , if she said that.... I think she meant its like a TFT LCD/eInk combo......

  • Student's Dream

In Backlight mode, will the colors be comparable to normal TFTs?

  • Excellent; No more hiding from the sunlight like a ghoul when surfing the web. Ditto for hero.

  • Yes, you did. 1) it's (almost) normal LCD but with very reflective background and turned off lamps so its' as easy to the eyes as e-ink displayes., 2) it's not a combo it's TFT LCD, they call it e-paper, not e-ink
