This tool is for use with the HTC EVO Shift. It will allow you to easily root and recovery the HTC EVO. It has error checking for the most part and pretty easy to use.

cool thanx man it worked just fine i also left thanx on your thread in xda
guys having trouble with the error running adb on your phone go to menu then settings then applications then development and make sure USB debugging has a green check mark on it

@CMP27240 were you able to root htc shift?, what version do you have? maybe is the software version the problem, I do have Android 2.3.3 and same "error running ADB", were you able to root yours?

Did you make sure to enable "USB Debugging", It is safe to try and click root. It will not do any harm to the phone and has fail safe if something isnt right.
If it fails to restore both the original, or eng-hboot then you will just have to manually do it using the site.
