Douglas C-133 Cargomaster taxis to ramp after last flight to Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, California. The plane will be added to their museum on static display.
What a gorgeous old beast. In Arizona at the Pima Air Museum, they have a C-133 in their static displays of old retired planes. I can't explain it, but the old C-133 is one of my favorite prop planes.

I helped restore one of these at the Air Mobility Command Museum on Dover, lots of fun. Didn't know any were still operable.

One big plane. After the C-5. It was bigger than the C-141. People say it looked like a C-130 but it dwarfed the C-130 by a long shot.

The first & only 133 I saw was at Chanute AFB in '80. I had never seen one before. It sorta looked like a 130, only 3 times bigger.
