Columbia, Missouri chief of police Ken Burton responds to a question about marijuana enforcement during a press conference. Chief Burton announced that he had found no evidence of wrongdoing during a botched raid in February that resulted in the death of a dog, but said he hopes marijuana law is reformed at a state level. The City of Columbia made marijuana violations its lowest law enforcement priority in 2004.

  • I applause Ken Burton for at least being honest on his view points about marijuana. Allot of law enforcement officials are scared to come out and support legalization because they can be ostracized by co-workers.

  • NO, YOU SWORE AN OATHE TO UPHOLD LAWS THAT FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION AND THAT YOUR DUTY IS TO IGNORE LAWS THAT ARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL...SUCH AS DRUG PROHIBITION ....THAT IS WHAT YOUR OATHE SAID....YOU OUGHT TO REVIEW IT AGAIN,...OR RATHER, READ IT FOR THE FIRST TIME .
