New toy

Well after a few hours of messing around we finally have finished a prototype of our new product. Hit someone from a ways away.

@ogunshi hmm I guess the video makes it look smaller. At this point Id only be concerned about the pointy bits like the thumb and finger knuckles. Arrows we use are broad headed and covered in cloth, When hit in the eye the from an angle the broadness of the head (and no pointy-bits) make it so your eye doesnt get poked.

@zalos It all depends on the group yu are plying in. In some of the Dagorhir groups I fight in thay are allowed. Also NERO, Allience, and several Europen chapters have no problem with it. As it is a new concept and different from the norm there are people who want to assume it can be and hence call it dangerous before even testing it out. The arrow head has a 3 PPCF softness on the tip which is softer then mattres foam. The middle of te head is 10 PPCF and the back is 25 PPCF.

how long is a typhical LRP arrow shot with a 24 - 26 pound bow pull?

Just wondering cause ive just gotten my own bow and it seems awful short when i shoot it

@fiimandkh If you are getting 21 to 31 meters range out of your bow that is rather good. Do take into mind that in LARP combat most of your targets are going to be within the 15 meters range. Anything beyond that is really not worth taking the shot.

ive measured my own shots to be 21,7 to 31, 4 meters (71,15 to 102,95 feet)

looks awesome! but is it safe? i mean, the regular boffer arrows are flat at the top. and thats because they shouldnt be able to for example go in to someones eye!
