Good work. For some reason a lot of the tutorials on upgrading to openoffice 3 have had mistakes in them (leading to a messy, problem-filled installation).
But this one was good.

This way gets updates when they come out though, which is nice.

also I'd rather use the .debs from the open office website then install with a will card command
sudo dpkg -i *.deb

wow that was simple i downloded the bed files and maualy installed them my self lol
I'm not sure -- but I just started downloading Fedora 10 to try including it in future tech tips.
