Enrique Ornelas Announces December 2nd Fight With Bernard Hopkins

Top Middleweight contender will not only be taking a step up in weight but will be taking a step up in opponents as it has been announced he will be taking on former Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Champ on December 2nd in Philadelphia. The bout is set to take place at 175 pounds which will be the first time Ornelas gives it a shot at the Light Heavy division. Ornelas who started out his career at 168 pounds moved down in weight and made his mark at 160 pounds by taking the NABF title in a knock down drag out brawl with Bronco McKart. Pound4Pound spoke to Ornelas a few days before the official announcement was made and he told us up this great opportunity.

Saying Chad Dawson is a smaller guy than Bernard Hopkins just does not make sense. I don't think anybody sees Dawson as the smaller guy, no way.

their fighting in philadelphia, haha. maybe b-hop fell in love with the crowd support he got when he whooped pavlik, so he's choosing a fight that he think is a for sure win in his hometown.

Well right now Dawson is fighting Johnson again and Nard already has a fight deal with Jones signed for sometime in early 2010. You can't expect for either of these guys (BHop vs Dawson) to fight one another until after these bouts.

Besides if BHop spanks Dawson all the naysayers will just make excuses saying that BHop beat up another smaller fighter (Dawson started at SMW).
