i can agree with you, blackwolf866, since i myself can't remember a single happy moment from first grade in school until 7th, but i can remember all the loneliness i felt. it's easier to remember sadness than happiness, at least sometimes.

its cuz u can relate very easily to something you've been through yourself. i think they pick sad songs because u remember sadness easyer than happiness. idk if im right or not thats just my opinion

about songs remembering about the past, i both hate and love I'm just a kid by Simple Plan. it makes me remembering some things i tried so damn hard to forget. i cry every time i hear it. i love it coz it's a good song. when you try to forget a feeling coz the memories are erased you get problems i promise....

some songs it does, but sometimes it just like helps with.. i dunno how to put it.. like relapse of the pain or something? i mean i know this is just youtube and all and people will probably laugh at me when i say this, coz of that situation of what happened with the girl, im back to visiting a psychologist because i had a relapse of what happened to me 6 years ago. this is a beautiful song, but it just sucks coz this song is very tough to listen to

personally, I think that at some point or another, we have to wade through the shit in our lives. Not thinking about something doesn't mean you are dealing with it. Sometime a song helps guide you through the mire. =)
