An unboxing of the much awaited (at least for me) iPhone 3G S here in Australia. Got it on a $69 Vodafone Cap which includes a generous 1GB data usage and more.
The box is quite similar, but Apple has saved on packaging by making the box just a little smaller. The charger has not changed, at least in Australia. The earphones feature new volume controls but the same intuitive clicker and a built in mic for answering calls.
The oleophobic display really works and helps to prevent some fingerprints.

  • you said in this video you went with vodafone because of telstras crazy prices why are you with telstra now on your iphone 4

  • @MattsFarm01 I found Vodafone's coverage to be unsatisfactory. Telstra has far better reception, and their prices aren't that ridiculous now.

  • Now apparently near late July or before, we'll be getting i Phone 4!, but when is it a good time to buy technology like this, i mean it seems as soon as you buy a product, such as the i phone 3g s, the i phone 4 will becoming out say 5 months later. l0l

  • @nutbagticles Yeah, Apple has released a new iPhone every year since '07.

  • not sure whether i asked you this or not yet, but how do you find coverage with vodafone? i live in the eastern suburbs of melb and am currently trying to figure out whether to go with 3 or voda and sussing out which is the better company. how is your coverage and how have you found vodafone as a company?

  • I live in the eastern suburbs too. The coverage isnt bad, Vodafone could do with more cell towers though. I have a Nokia N95 with 3 and find it constantly on "Roaming" instead of 3G. Consumers usually demand better service with a internet rich smartphone like the iPhone, and the only company that could deliver this was Telstra. I was with them for the 3G and got full reception WHEREVER I went. Even the most remote areas of Victoria I had a strong 3G signal.
