We discovered a robin's nest in our garage in May 2009. We set up a camera and watched the whole process from egg laying to hatching. We took this video about a week or more after the three eggs hatched. The mother and father worked around the clock bringing their babies worms to eat. It was actually an enjoyable period, even though the robin family took control of the garage for about a month. The nest is located right on top of the garage door unit. It was a pretty smart move. They had shelter from weather, and a fairly safe place from other predators. On Saturday May 23rd, the robins flew the coop. You might say they left behind an empty nest. We were sorry to see them go.
