I like the original african spelling, Harambe' (pronounced Har-Rahm-Bay) is a Swahili word that means pulling together, recognizing the power of one, but also the power of many pulling together and working together easing the burden one might face. This is a crowd pleasing, on the spot freestyle composition that has Dean & The boys improvising original riddims & original thoughts and lyrics about HARAMBE!!!
contribute to a bigger picture and cause, by using our gifts and talents in such a way that the community(and now global community) wins. In Africa there is no welfare, no government aid, churches and mosques have little, so one looks to the community of family and friends. Africans are born in to communities, not nuclear families so the concept of Harambee is easy to understand and to practically work out in daily life.
Love the performance!!
