My 1st footage on TM300 after the battery was fully charged. Taken about 11pm at the carpark with only street lights, from my apartment, using different low light modes/functions.

iA = using intelligent Auto mode
Auto = Normal Auto without iA
Night View = Auto with Night View function set.
Cinema = Digital Cinema 25p
Auto Slow Shutter mode

Low light sensitivity is quite good in spite of the fact that the carpark was only lighted with dimly street lights. There is some noise but details are there. I like the fact that the camera has lots of manual functions for those who like to experiment and also iA for those who wants it easy.

  • @ch4l4k0 Also dslr does not have autozoom. Zoom is be manually made so might not be so smooth if you like to zoom.

  • @ch4l4k0 some people like to use dslr, like gh2, for videos because it can create artistic effects due to its depth of field n better low light footage. But, the weakness of dslr is the jello effects if you move the camera too fast and dslr are usually more expensive. You can check out some videos made by gh1, the predecessor of gh2, in youtube or vimeo. Review site like Camcorderinfo can help too.

  • @teckming1234 wait, I'm new to this.. you telling me that gh2 will be better than a camcorder for video recording? cuz I checked the gh2 and its specially for Photographers right . ?

  • @ch4l4k0 I am also considering panasonic gh2 which will be on sales later this year. It has just been introduce in the photokina tradeshow.

  • @ch4l4k0 both tm700 n hfs21 are great. I currently using tm300 for over a year now. It is a good camera.

  • @teckming1234 did u decided already? I'm about to buy the hf s21.. but I'm getting confused now, by many people having the same doubts like me

  • any idea is there any diff between this and TM200?

  • was the light actually yellow? I found that to be an issue, i..e all yellow light at night is shown as red no matter the settings I use. I will be hopefully getting the camcorder fixed when I am back in Singapore (the HDC HS300 is not officially sold where I live so no Panasonic support).

  • @ArtisticFlow87 I don't think you'll find that with interchangeable lenses.

    Cameras like this just have zooms.

    You can get a digital slr or something like the Panasonic GF12 which will do video and have interchangeable lenses. Their audio functions & some video functions are not that great, though.

  • @navids20 Panasonic just came out with TM700. I heard it is cheaper and it is better. U should check that model out.
