Reminds me a bit of the music of Ali Farka Toure in terms of the rythyms and guitar work. Would love to hear him work with Yoko Kanno and see what comes out.
those pentatonic variations are beautiful. i love the version on Noble Beast. i'd love to see him working with Sufjan Stevens. can't wait to see him at sydney opera house next year, tix just got out today but can't gettem till 2 week s after because ive got my final exams then en dof high school for good. hope they'll be tix left
This is a really sweet piece of music. It doesn't go anywhere much, but it hits such a brilliant groove that it doesn't have to. Sounds a bit better on the album, this is stunning as well though.
