  • the onboard automated anouncements never shut up :(

  • Like the ones on the Clacton-Liverpool St 360s, that announce the station after you have been through it!

  • I call the class 185s 'Chieftains' due to them sounding similar to a Chieftain Tank.

  • all trains have weakness in there appeal the class185 have a great roaring engine and are very eye catching inside and out the only problem i have is the y never have the heaters on everyone ive been on and thats sitting in first class have been like freezers and one more thing they replaced the manchester airport to cleethorpes from class 158 which was more comfortable and warmer to class185

  • The trains are crap they roll nearly a much as a 142 bus train. I'd love to remove those cummins diesel units too. maybe a perkins 158 would be much better than a 185. Probably have a ride on one on 21st April.

  • And they dont believe in having the heating on them on a morning, as a regular commuter from Liverpool to Leeds told me. Ice boxes!

  • best bit bout the 185 is the sound, but they arnt as comfy ride

  • I'm more of a 158 fan, I must say I am quite getting to like the 185.
