In 1980 I lived in a town in eastern Mt. where they were sending crews out drilling wells in the Williston Basin.  A buddy of mine who was with Halliburton told me they were capping the wells and they would stay capped until gas hits $3 per gallon. Well we are beyond that point now and wells are being uncapped. However we need refining capacity which we lack. I say get this crude to refinery and cut imports.

Every American is affected by this issue of not using our own oil resources in this country and being at the mercy of foreign oil. Lets all get politically active and contact our representatives in DC and demand them to pass bills allowing the drilling wherever on our soil we have the reserves of oil. The high gas prices are hindering the economic recovery we need so desperately. ABM

I agree with Sen.Young on drilling,responsibly and sanely in this Great Land of OURS,but let me say that if you think the oil companies would seel us OUR oil at a cheaper price than the world market then I have a bridge in N.Y. to sell you. It would be agreat suprise to me and many if one of the stipulations was that the American people would benefit from drilling,on OUR OWN LAND.Ive heard all this bull about drilling here .Lets all work together on solving our problems for now and later.
