Hello, my son is also on a gtube, mickey button. I have been looking into a blenderized diet, but many of his doctors say it will clog up the gtube, what kind os syringe do you use to flush it down and your extention looks thicker than ours, can you give me any information as to the size and names so that I can ask his GI doctor next time? Thank you! Im really stressed out and could use some advice;)

What a cutie! As a nurse I have administer many Tube feedings, mostly to the geriatric population. Sad to say, I had all but forgotten that blended diets were even a possibility. I would image that this would be a cost savings as well as possibly better tolerated then traditional formulas. Especially for home use. Thanks for sharing.

@tara6692 No she doesn't feel sick after a feeding. I think blenderized is easier on the tummy. This video is 2 years old. She is nearly 5 years old. We currently give 4-12 oz boluses each day and she does fine.

why do you remove the plunger tp fill the syringe each time? i don't get it, why don't you pull the formula from the bottle with the syringe instead?...

@laurapodkapova -Because the syringe doesn't fit down into the bottle. And the formula is somewhat thick. But if your formula is thin enough and you store it in something wide enough then yes you could certainly draw it up.
