In this video I show you that you are able to use your cuttlebug to cut medium weight chipboard using theSizzix Tim Holtz Alterations dies. I demonstrate with the medium weight chipboard but you can also cut grungeboard and grunge paper with no problem using the cuttlebug. Thanks for watching! • Hello there! Thanks so much for this video. It's so informative! I am interested in purchasing a Cuttlebug, but I would really love to be able to also purchase Tim Holtz' dies. (I am sort of new to die-cutting. I do own a cricut, and am still learning with it but it seems very different from this). I was wondering, do you know if you would also be able to cut grungeboard this way (the cuttlebug/tim holtz alteration combo)? Thanks so much! :)

  • @EmilyElisabethW You can cut grungeboard! Thank you for your sweet comment! Hugs, Mary >;<

  • TFS! I was wondering if the Tim Holtz texture fades into the Cuttlebug? I want some sooooo bad and am not able to buy a Bigshot just yet. TIA!

  • @Oneofhis2 Yes you would use the TH texture fades embossing folders the same way as the cuttlebug embossing folders. I love the texture fades as they make a deeper impression in the cardstock and grungepaper than the cuttlebug folders do. I hope this helps! TFW! Mary

  • Thanks so much for sharing this info. I am dying to get those TH dies of the birdcage and the sign and the broque to make mini albums with that. I didn't know who to ask if the cuttlebug would work. I love my cuttlebug and for sure can't invest in the bigshot.

    thanks so much!

  • Thanks for this, I've been wondering if those dies would fit the cuttlebug. :D

  • cool, I loved the caged bird die so much I just ordered it online and then I thought whoops should have checked if I could use my cuttlebug since I don't have the big shot. Thanks!

  • Thank you for this video! I was debating on which one to get...the big shot or the cuttlebug...I think I am going with the cuttlebug now....yay! And it takes up less room...always a plus!
