I was in the downtown area as the back end of hurricane Ike was moving through Houston. I captured video of a downtown construction crane near the Hilton of Americas spinning in the wind. I thought for sure it would collapse.

no you are wrong we leave the brakes on so that dose not happen.

Just a heads up for you. The breaks are left completely off when putting crane in weathervane.

just to let you know they put the "brake" on about %60 so the mast goes with the wind. its meant to do that.
