Author Kevin Lewis talk to us on the red carpet for the London premiere of his The Kid in Leicester Square. Based on his powerful autobiographical novel, The Kid deals with the serious issues of child abuse and family violence. Directed by Nick Moran the film stars Augustus Prew, Rupert Friend and Jodie Whittaker.

The book and the film are quite different, but they obviously couldn't cram all the book into 90 minutes, but both deserve a look-in...I saw the film first and then just had to read the book and enjoyed both on their individual merits........

If you do buy or read the book make sure you get the 'film tie-in' version where you get 'The Kid' and also 'The kid moves on' together in one book.......just saves you either having to buy or look for the other!
